Security

The Internet Billing Application (IBA) protects your company and employee data by using multiple security protection methods, including:

  • Use of a secure username and password
  • Client administrator access only
  • SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology

These methods help ensure that your information is safer than if it were kept in your own office. Our protection protocol involves security built into the application, encryption during transmission, data maintenance protection, and physical barriers to our servers.

Data Protection Across the Internet
The IBA utilizes 128-bit secure socket layer (SSL) technology and digital certificates to encrypt and authenticate transactions. SSL creates a secured connection between our web servers and your browser, which eliminates unauthorized access to transmitted data and ensures data is sent only to the intended server.

Database Protections
Our database logs all important changes and user accesses so you can reconcile any data changes. Whenever data is changed, you are notified by the system and can make appropriate confirmations and adjustments, if necessary.

Additionally, if there is an invalid attempt to access your organization's data, you will receive an email. Our email notification tells you when the access was attempted and the address from which the unauthorized log-on was attempted.
